One day last week, it was far too quiet upstairs, so I headed up to find out what kind of trouble these three might be into. To my surprise and awe, there was no trouble, no mess, no blood, no toilet paper on the floor, and no crayon on the walls. Not long before, Nate and I took the door off the boys’ closet and turned it into a reading nook. Someone wise (aka Mama Shoemaker) told me that kids love to play in closets. Sure enough, this little space is a hit! Let’s just hope we can keep their clothes stuffed in dressers for a few more years so this space can stay a cozy hangout.
