doh!

Courben and I made donuts for the first time this week.  I have to say, if we have to have these fresh for breakfast, it will probably never happen.  They take close to two hours from start to finish.  We chose to make them so they were ready for dessert after dinner.  Thanks to a Simons family antique Christmas a few years back, we even had a donut cutter and didn’t have to find a way to cut them by hand or with biscuit cutters.  Besides eating them, Courben’s favorite part was dipping the donuts in butter and then cinnamon-sugar.  This certainly won’t be a weekly tradition, but it was a fun endeavor.
