By far, my favorite part of our Christmas festivities thus far has been tobogganing as a family. At Pokagon State Park in Fremont, Indiana, there is a ‘refrigerated toboggan track’. Basically, you shove as many people on a skinny sled and race down a track at a minimum of 33 mph, while screaming the whole way. The boys were super brave and didn’t cry, even when we went down four times, Judah taking the brunt of the wind from the front seat. I can’t remember the last time I was able to enjoy this winter activity (the rest of our family has gone every Christmas I’ve been pregnant, which meant only sideline cheerleader for me). When we explained our entertainment to our fellow Ohioans, they still weren’t quite sure if we were talking about a winter hat or some sledding sled. Maybe we need to take a trip back to Indiana so they can experience this wondrous ‘sled’ for themselves.
