Courben got to spend some time with his girlfriend today. Her mother and I have been trying to arrange their meeting for about seven and a half weeks now. I guess Ruby likes rough and tumble kinds of guys because despite Courben's efforts to pull off her nose and throw balls at her sweet face, she didn't cry once. She will have it so easy when they are married, too, because she won't even have to change her last name! Truth be told, we are really wondering how these two Shoemaker babies are related. Ruby is named after her great-grandmother who was married to Albert Shoemaker. So, anyone doing genealogy, let me know if you find their link.
Maybe Courben needs to start looking for a new girlfriend if he and Ruby are related.
