first fourth

The fourth of July was full of emotions. It started with a nice chat with grandpa while waiting for the parade. Unfortunately, nap time fell right when the fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and motorcycles made their entrance. Needless to say, Courben was a bit traumatized. I believe he caught a quick cat nap during the remainder of the parade. Then, it was back to grandma and grandpa's house for lunch before heading to Miss Olivia's birthday party. She turned four this July! As for our little guy, he was still pretty worn out from the earlier events, so he fell asleep in my arms and woke up next to Olivia's sister, Alexis. We played a funny prank on those two by putting them in the same pack 'n' play to nap! After the party, it was off to the fireworks. Courben was mesmerized by the first half and then promptly fell asleep. What a day!
